The Recreational Pilot Permit is the most economical
certification, however; it carries certain restrictions.
With a Recreational Pilot License you may fly single
engine aircraft having four or fewer seats, during the
daytime and under visual flight rules. A Recreational
Pilot may take only one passenger at a time and is not
permitted to fly beyond 50 miles from the airport where
training was taken without additional instruction. Flight
training may be started at any time. Students determine
their schedules based on their own availability.
